About Freddie Ricx Consults

Freddie Ricx Consults Limited is a business legally registered in Zambia by the Patents and Companies Registration Agency-PACRA. The business which started as sole proprietorship in 2021 has since grown and now incorporated as a company limited by shares.

In terms of employee size, the business has six permanent employees and is managed by two Directors Fredrick Bwalya and Chitambeya Mukwangole who are also involved in delivering inter alia core services to our clients. To provide balance in the administration of the Firm, the business has outsourced other services such as the Human capital and development from Precision Recruitment International- PRI, and other corporate bodies both local and abroad, individual specialist consultants offering various services in the IT space, advisory etc.

Clients normally have different needs that often affect the expected delivery outcomes in terms of time, quality and cost. Sometimes their needs change during project execution due to many reasons. Regardless, we have mastered the art of working with different types of clients in meeting the project objectives at minimal cost while maintaining or improving its function. From outset of the project brief, we strive to identify key value drivers in a bid to define a path that would strike an optimum balance between the benefits expected of a project and the resources expended in the delivery. Once value drivers are clearly defined, we quickly allocate risks, quantify and track to manage them using the risk register. This normally suggests a coherent path for the type of cost-effective procurement model to use on a project. In achieving value for money on a project, one of the key elements we normally advise our clients not to neglect is the choice of procurement system. The choice of procurement system has potential to define and affect cost, quality and time of the project outcome. We are proud to underscore that we have good industry experience in managing projects procured under different types of procurement systems both for the public sector clients as well as private sector. We are also proud to underscore some of the successes we have achieved in being part of the industry stakeholders when establishing the bespoke of public procurement system Act No. 8 of 2020. We have a deep and tacit understanding in administering and managing government contracts as we have kept our minds alive with public regulations and laws (such as the public finance management Act No.1 of 2018) which forbids abuse of public resources while emphasizing the need to deliver value for money projects. We have a very strong background and proven record in delivering projects procured under various procurement systems, e.g., FIDIC, JBCC, NEC, ICE, World Bank Procurement System and Private Finance Initiative (i.e., Design and Build, Build Own Operate and Transfer, Construction management, PPP) etc.
